Wednesday, Oct. 7, 7pm: Learning in the Sukkah:
Is Eco- the new Kosher?

Jews don't need an excuse to think about food, but Sukkot is a fitting time for us to engage environmental and ethical issues about what we eat. We'll review the definition of what is kosher. We will also see how Eco-kashrut, or ethical kashrut, has expanded the idea of a kosher diet to include issues of social justice and environmentalism. Eat at the BBQ and have some food for thought afterward in the Sukkah!
