Enjoy the last bit of summer with us before classes start. Come hang out, eat food, and play games and sports on Memorial Glade
Monday, August 23rd from 8-10pm - Build your own Sundaes
Meet new people, learn about Greek life at Cal and eat free ice cream before heading out for the night!
Tuesday, August 24th from 12-4pm - Meet and Mingle
Meet current Cal students at the top of every hour at Hillel for coffee or Fro-Yo and a personalized campus tour.
Wednesday, August 25th from 1-4pm - Pool Party
Meet at Hillel at 1pm and we will walk to the famous Strawberry Canyon pool to hang out and enjoy the sun or stop by the pool anytime between 1-4 and hang out with us!!
Wednesday, August 25th from 6-7pm - First Weekly BBQ
Join us for our weekly Wednesday BBQ!!! We serve everything from BBQ chicken, burgers, guacamole, salad, chips and salsa, french fries and wonderful desserts!! Come to our Auditorium from 6-7 to enjoy great kosher food and make new friends!
Interested in helping us cook for the BBQ? Want to learn how to cook? Want to show us your skills in the kitchen? Our BBQ Team, made up of current Cal students, cooks every Wednesday from 3-6pm in the Meat Kitchen at Hillel! Join us anytime!!!
Thursday, August 26th from 6-7pm - First FYSH (First Year Students at Hillel) dinner
Bring your friends, meet new people and eat some Zachary's Pizza at Hillel!
Friday, August 27th, 6pm service, 7pm dinner - Shabbat Shalom!
Join us for services followed by a free kosher dinner. Everyone is welcome.

Freshman Retreat to Marin Headlands!
Sunday and Monday, September 5th and 6th
Join us for a fun weekend retreat to the Marin Headlands with other Jewish first year students! We will be spending a day and night at the Headlands, culminating with a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge!!
Its a great way to meet other first years and upperclassmen, learn about the different opportunities in Hillel and at Cal, and also have fun and hang out at the beach, chill by the bonfire with a guitar, and see different parts of the Bay Area!
The total cost is $20 if you register by August 27th and $25 after that! Sign up early as spots are limited.

Hillel's FYSH group is dedicated to First Year students at Cal! We have FREE dinners (such as Zachary's Pizza, taco night, Greek food, etc.) every Thursday night at 6pm in the Hillel Lobby.
We also have a lot of other fun programming throughout the year such as Oakland A’s Baseball games, bowling, hikes through Berkeley, and excursions into San Francisco!
